Aura Pottery offers an opportunity for a ceramic artist/potter to experience the running of a ceramic studio while creating his/her own work, teaching guests, organizing workshops, firing kilns, and generally managing the day to day affairs of the studio.
The opportunity is based on an agreement of exchange between the coordinator and Aura, there is strictly no fixed payment involved in this program. However there is a compensation based on workshops organized, teaching done, and pottery sold!
1-2 years of experience in ceramics
Knowledge of pottery building and glaze techniques
Knowledge of kiln firing and processes
Proficiency in English language is essential
Graphic design knowledge
An attitude of commitment and exploration
Willingness to multi-task
Work will include:
Creating pottery based on prototypes
Creating and organizing workshop formats
Promoting and marketing workshops
Managing Aura guests, meals etc.
Coordinating maintenance of studio and stay
Teaching pottery to guests who come for pottery retreats
Assisting lead instructor during workshops
Managing social media updates for Aura

Boarding and meals are provided
Profit sharing as follows:
50% on work created by the coordinator
25% on work created off a prototype for production
25% on all workshops organized
25% on teaching ongoing guests
Duration of Work:
Min 1 year commitment is required
