March was an eventful month for us as we participated in the spring edit of Countrysiders Fair, secondly; we hosted Pottery Workshops every Wednesday and Saturday and the response was truly overwhelming!

Summers at Aura are clear skies, colorful pottery and iced coffees all day long!

Countrysiders Fair: Spring Edit

In the last week of March we took most of our ceramic functional ware and miniatures to a country fair and our kiosk was a runaway success! We met like minded people, small business owners and couple of old friends at this lively fair. We displayed our latest collection and it was an absolute hit.

Honestly, we had a perfect start to a colorful summer!

Pottery Workshops

We introduced Wheel Throwing classes for complete beginners at Aura and we are stunned with the number of people keenly waiting to book the available slots. It has been a fun month; meeting new people, getting one's hands dirty, lots of laughter and goof-ups, overall a sense of camaraderie, something that is so important to be able to gleefully fill our extra hours, is just what the classes look like.

Pottery Retreats and the Potters’ Villa

Renovation for the Potters’ Villa is in full swing, gathering momentum as the days get longer. While it's been a few weeks since we’d crafted the handmade ceramic wash bowls for the villa, painting them with stains and underglazes has definitely been the highlight of our month. The bright colors of the fruit orchard here at Aura have clearly been the primary influence for these magnificent and charming sinks! So, if you’re making any travel plans for this year, stop right there and check out the Pottery Retreats we have designed just for you. You can come in for anything between 2 to 12 weeks, and experience a relaxed pottery learning program while you meet new people. Getaways At Aura

Aura Pottery is a perfect getaway, ensconced in all shades of green. People come here for a relaxing and therapeutic time, away from the hustle-bustle of the city. They take a load off whilst also productively engaging in hands-on Pottery Workshops. Doctor Vandana came to Aura to break away from the mundane routine she has. She made this super cool and unique pot for herself, enjoying every minute of working clay with her hands.

During our weekend workshops, clay enthusiasts are introduced to the basics of clay handling, molding and building. They leave their pieces behind, to be glazed at the studio and return to collect them in a few weeks’ time.
